Cameras "
KIEV
" have been produced since 1947 at Arsenal plant (the city of Kiev, Soviet Union). It was just a copies of
Zeiss Contax
cameras. High reliability, excellent optics, capability to shoot at low temperature (it can work in a Russian froze!), presence of exchangeable lens - these are the conditions defined the usage of these cameras for pro-shooting during more than 40 years.

double cylinder film cassettes.
ITEM'S CONDITION:
EXCELLENT
The item looks accurately used before, locking buttons of the film cassette works properly.
Cosmetically the cassette and the spool inside it looks fine, just examine item's photos, please.
All functions are available.
TECHNICAL FEATURES
* Double cylinder Contax type cassette is very light tight when it is out of the camera, but provides very easy film transport when it is inside the camera.
* Huge door of the cassette provides scratch free films when cassette is opened inside the camera.
* The cassette can be used at some other cameras produced in 1940-1970th (Leningrad or Start, for example) if back door locking knob has the special shape for it.
* The cassette
CAN NOT BE USED
with FED, Zorki or Leica cameras even it looks similar with double cylinder cassettes for those cameras.
* The spool taken from the cassette can be used as usual take-up spool at Kiev and some other cameras which can use from cassette-to-cassette film winding (Start, Smena-8M etc).
* Film cassette and internal spool are made off nice zinc alloy
* Nice item for camera collectors.
* The item was produced in USSR at KMZ plant (Krasnogorsk town) in 1960th.
