Used rare Panavision Super Panatar Anamorphotic Attachment (Lens) for Movie Projector.  This special attachment mounted in front of a movie projector to project wide screen format films.  Adjustable so movie theatres did not have to purchase multiple attachments for the non-compatible wide screen formats put out by the various movie studios. Panavision is well known in the movie and TV industry for its quality lenses and cameras.  This innovative adapter is an example of Panavision - Panatar technology.  Robert Gottschalk and his partners started Panavision, and they were ahead of their time.  Panavision sold equipment and lenses in the 1950's, 1960's and maybe in 1970's, however, they stopped selling their equipment and lenses decades ago.  They went to a rental model and only rent lenses and camera equipment today.  This is a rare chance to purchase cinematic history.  This heavy metal and glass equipment is used and has some painted marks, oxidation, but the knob still turns and moves the lens.  Dimensions approximately 10 inches X 7 inches X 5.5 inches.  Made in USA.  No returns.  Please see photos.
